Conference Events

The program will involve a combination of presentations from keynote speakers on a number of selected issues/topics followed by participatory breakout sessions.

Mornings are reserved for keynote sessions and afternoons for breakout sessions. For the keynote sessions, key speakers will be invited to talk about the ‘best practices’ in climate change education and to identify possible sources or repository of information and data to help educators in climate change education.

During the breakout sessions, participants will be encouraged to sit in groups of either their own specialization or related specialties. Participants from applied specialties (like psychology, history, philosophy, anthropology etc.) and who actively teach or are interested in climate change education will be encouraged to form separate set of groups (depending on the number of participants at the meeting). The participants will reflect on their own practice, exchange ideas and together develop and discuss questions/challenges/issues relevant for teaching climate change.

A social program including receptions, dinners and tea breaks will also be offered to participants.
